Among other areas of law, I handle the following:

  • Wills
  • Trusts
  • Estate management
  • Family law (pre- and post-nuptial agreements only)
  • Finance/debt law
  • Small business law
  • Corporate law
  • Contract law (most types of agreements and contracts)

To a lesser extent, I can also help with the following areas of law:

  • Taxation
  • Mediation
  • Employment (agreements, compliance and drafting only)
  • Bankruptcy (pre-petition counseling only)

I aim to be your general advisor and first point of contact for all areas of the law (regardless of whether I  myself practice in any specific area). Accordingly, if you are an existing client in need of help in the areas in which I do not practice - such as criminal defense or personal injury - I have trusted contacts that I can refer you to at other firms. No fee applies for this service and I do not receive any referral fees from other attorneys.

I don't personally handle litigation matters (such as criminal defense, personal injury or divorce cases). If you are an existing client, I have trusted colleagues in other firms that I can refer you to for these types of cases. No fee applies for this service and I do not receive any referral fees from other attorneys.

Those are Frankie, Roxie and Berry, my family's three Boston Terriers. They are curious and attempt to help me around the office - mostly for treats (while pretending they are there for my interesting personality).

I am based out of Saint Cloud but am able to serve clients across most of central Florida.

I serve clients throughout central Florida, with a focus on Orlando and the surrounding communities.

On will, trust and other estate planning matters, I generally work on a fixed fee basis. That fixed fee will vary dramatically from client to client depending on their overall needs.

On all other matters, I work at a fixed hourly rate for all legal work, as is the case with the vast majority of private attorneys. I am able to keep rates that are generally significantly lower than average in the state of Florida by reducing overhead costs and focusing on efficiency. Since I don't have a staff in order to keep my rates low, I charge a small fraction of my hourly fee for administrative or legal research tasks. That way, my clients only pay the costs associated with their matters and not a portion of a huge overhead. Exceptions to the hourly rate structure include fixed fee arrangements for very simple/run-of-the-mill tasks such as simple property transactions. However, such alternative fee arrangements are only offered on a case-by-case basis and are never guaranteed in advance.

I have a separate office suite at my home that I only rarely use for clients.  Experience has shown that clients who prefer in-person meetings generally prefer meeting closer to their places of work or residences. Therefore, when a physical meeting is preferred, I usually do one of two things:

1.  I can come to your place of business or residence (kind of like a lawyer house call).* This tends to be the most popular approach among clients.

2.  Alternatively, I also have a network of ad hoc office spaces around central Florida where I can rent a confidential space just for the time we need.**

* Instead of my hourly rate, I only charge a small per-mile fee for the time spent travelling when this option is used.

** The cost of the office rental is passed on to you in your bill without any upcharge.

I will occasionally do pro-bono work for existing clients if the work is novel to me and can help me grow my practice. At any given time, I may also be doing pro-bono legal work for some local non-profit organizations.
