My name is Peter Jenka. I was born and raised abroad in a small town outside of Prague, in the Czech Republic. Before founding Attycus Law, PLLC, I spent years working on contracts, agreements and transactions at two of the top law firms in the world, each of which had several offices around the world, over a thousand lawyers and over a billion dollars in annual revenue. My practice there focused on finance law and spanned well over a hundred matters and almost as many clients. The work was exciting but lacked the distinctly human and intimate feeling of a small town practice. After years of representing large corporate clients and private equity funds, I decided to refocus my practice towards serving forward-looking individuals and families in central Florida as well as small businesses. My focus is helping my clients create and protect assets and wealth whether they are just starting out or desire to further build on existing financial success. Going from helping large corporations create and protect wealth to doing the same for regular folks and their businesses has been incredibly rewarding and drives me every day.
I attended law school at the University of Notre Dame where I graduated summa cum laude and earned the Farabaugh Prize, one of the top three academic honors (in a class of almost two hundred). I enjoyed a merit scholarship that all but covered the cost of attendance. I worked through my second and third years while attending classes. The work paid off and covered the remainder of the cost of attendance. I was also a member of the Law Review and a Dean's Circle Fellow.
I earned my bachelor's degree at Duke University, where I graduated magna cum laude. My coursework included courses in accounting, finance, statistics, public policy and political science. I also authored an extensive research paper on lobbying and interest group influence. I made either the Dean's List or the Dean's List with Distinction every semester.
Outside of work I enjoy scuba diving, skiing, golfing and shooting. I am a huge fan of Jimmy Buffett and have thankfully seen him in concert multiple times. I also have a deep appreciation for ornate wooden furniture and one of my hobbies is furniture restoration. I frequently build furniture and dive into home improvement projects in my spare time.
University of Notre Dame Law School (J.D.), summa cum laude, Farabaugh Prize (one of top three academic honors), Law Review, Dean's Circle Fellow, Honor Roll (all semesters), Best Brief Award for Legal Writing.
Duke University (B.A.), magna cum laude, Dean's List with Distinction, Dean's List.

Business runs in my blood. Generations of entrepreneurship have shaped my approach to life and work, having worked in the family business starting from the day after I turned fifteen. I largely continued working from then on. Before law school, I set out to get a taste of every kind of job from a warehouse worker through a personal assistant at a medical company to a trainee at a luxury hotel in Hong Kong. Hard (and smart) work run in my blood, and I am proud to be continuing the family tradition by starting my own small business.
My greatest passion (I dare say obsession) is personal finance. Few things give me as much joy as analyzing a seemingly chaotic economic and legal world and finding hidden patterns, structures, and tricks. True pleasure is taking that knowledge and turning it into actionable plans and approaches for my clients and family. My other passions include accounting, (avoiding) taxation, insurance, statistics, economics, and finance. Only with intimate knowledge of the societal structures that surround us can any individual really get ahead of the pack. More importantly, the system is designed to feed on those who don't understand it. My hope is to help you navigate it all.
